Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. (Matthew 7:1-2)

Dear Praying Friends and Ministry Partners,

Often when we mess up we try to blame someone else, or we are quick to find fault with another, when we have done the exact same thing ourselves. The reason is our sin nature. Look at Adam and Eve's response to God in Genesis 3. They cast blame and made excuses rather than make confession and seek reconciliation. We must remember our own imperfections next time we are tempted to judge someone else.

Visas Renewed!

We are praising the Lord for His goodness concerning our visas. We began the process of submitting the necessary paperwork at the end of March. After some delays we were able to finalize our application on May 5. The best part is we were told that we would receive just under five years this time, which will be a first for us.

Ruth Teaches About Amy Carmichael

Ruth just finished a series on Amy Carmichael in the Thursday night children's class. Born in Ireland in 1867, Amy served as a missionary in India for 55 years (with no furlough!). She is most well-known for rescuing hundreds of little girls from the horrors of temple life. Ruth's lessons focused on knowing that God has a plan for your life (Jer. 29:11), making personal plans, but knowing that God is the one who fulfills them (Prov. 19:21), showing Christ's light in your life (Matt. 6:15), and working hard and doing it for the Lord (Col. 3:23).

During the lessons Ruth made a point to teach some geography to the kids at the same time. They're still learning where Ireland and India are, but they have finally learned where Romania is. Ruth said, "The kids have been pretty attentive, and I think they have enjoyed learning about her life. I know I have." Ruth is now teaching every Thursday and loves it.

Rebeca's Dedication

Florin and Maricica with Rebeca MariaWe were blessed to have Dave's parents back with in April. They had the opportunity to share in the joy of Florin and Maricica dedicating Rebeca to the Lord. It was a moving service followed by a delicious meal prepared by Amalia.

Dave's dad sharing special music Dave's dad also shared special music in two of the services in Luncsoara.Even though most in attendance did not understand English, they were moved by the way the songs were sung. Dad sang some of his favorite songs, His Eye Is on the Sparrow, How Great Thou Art, In the Garden, and The Old Rugged Cross.

You are a blessing to us! Thank you for making it possible to serve in Romania.

Visit to Rome

Another highlight of their stay was spending several days together in Rome, to celebrate Mom and Dad's 50th anniversary later this year. Our family at Trevi Fountain Our girls loved seeing firsthand some of the places they have been studying in History, while we enjoyed seeing the many ruins dating back to the time of Christ and the early church. The Colosseum and the catacombs were especially interesting.

Looking for Land in Luncsoara

With the approval of our new team association, the way has been cleared for us to legally purchase land for a church building in Luncsoara. There is one possibility that includes a house and small barn. This would be ideal for us as it is situated within the Gypsy community. The problem is that the owner does not have all the necessary documents to sell it to us, which is not uncommon in Romania. Would you join us in praying for the Lord to direct us to the right place?

Praises

  • Rebeca's dedication
  • Time with Dave's parents
  • Renewal of visas for more than one year

Prayer Requests

  • Land for a church building
  • Andreea's continued recovery
  • Additional responsibilities during the Warners' furlough
